In 2006, MAF Fashion, a venture of Majid Al Futtaim Group which deals with world’s best brands in the fashion industry had gone for CONTROL® for attending to their entire merchandise planning, financial budgeting, planning, data consolidation and reporting processes. Scalability, ease of use and ability to handle any complex business calculation were obviously definite outcomes from CONTROL®. The primary objective of the project at MAF Ventures was to consolidate data from the various entities such as Leisure and Entertainment, JCB, Dalkia, Orix, Fashion, Greater union etc and perform basic financial consolidation after eliminations and adjustment entries to generate their final Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow. Besides data and financial consolidation, MAF Ventures had extensive report generation requirements for which CONTROL® was used extensively to generate various month‐end reports, YTD reports, variance analysis reports etc which are accessed by several users across their different entities.
